Yealm Cottage

Yealm Cottage in Loughton, Essex is the home of Simon and Sarah Jackson also Emily, Tom and the twins, Jack and Matthew.

The cottage was named by the first owners after the River Yealm in Devon. Apparently a favourite holiday destination.

Yealm (pronounced "YALM"), also known as Thatch Reed or the Common Water Reed, grows in swamps, coastal wetlands, and marshes. It is commonly used as a roofing material.

Sarah is a General Practicioner and works under her maiden name, Heyes at The Shrubberies Medical Centre in South Woodford.
