This is what to do if using an iPad. I suspect it is the same on other platforms.

 

In your browser's address bar write......
       https://openai.com
Alternatively simply click. HERE

 

Cick on Menu in the top right hand corner. Then either Sign up or Log in.

 

Do not worry about Signing up, it is free.
If you have already signed up you choose   Log in

 

Enter your email address and then the password you chose when you signed up.

 

Click on ChatGPT at tbe top of the page

 

You will be taken though a number of introductory pages. Keep clicking on  NEXT   until you get to a page divided into two virtical columns. The black column on the left will have at the top the words  + New chat

 

Click on  + New chat ,  and type your question on the keyboard.  The answer will appear at the top of the page.

 

NOTE: You are in a dialog so you can answer back or ask a suplimentary question.

 

To ask a totally different question simply click again on  + New chat

 

Do give it a try.

 

If you wish to keep your answer, or to email it to someone, simply HIGHLIGHT it, COPY it, and then you can PASTE it anywhere - it is text.
